In this program, kids will have levels to attain and see an increase in the challenge of workouts over time. The levels will go from 1 to 6. Each level requires more skills to move up. Kids love goals, and we want them to be motivated to become a better version of themselves. The areas they will be working on range from Technical Knowledge like learning the “10 domains of fitness” to Nutrition, such as sending parents to work with a healthy snack that they planned and made on their own. And of course they will be working on pull ups, box jumps and even working up to hand stands. Each child will have a chance to test up a level every 1-2 months depending on attendance and preparations. Our intention is to test when they are fully capable of passing. The coaches will be checking off skills as classes progress and let parents know when the child is ready. Level 6 is our highest level right now but we believe fitness is limitless, so eventually a Level 8 will be created when necessary. The classes are for ages 8-14 in one class of mixed levels, just as Karate and other martial arts programs do. We want the younger kids learning from the older kids as well as the older kids having the opportunity to have leadership roles. The older middle schoolers will often be called upon to teach skills that they have perfected, as it is part of their level testing. This program is coached by Dennis Floyd.*Students can join at any time of the month. Billing takes place on the first of the month; anyone starting after the first of the month will have billing prorated.
