Kids & Teens Coach

Do you love bringing the world of fitness to kids & teens? We are looking for a coach to lead our kids & teens classes! 


POSITION SUMMERY

We are looking for a Fitness Trainer who will continue building an already established teens and kids program. Our goal at CrossFit 133 is to work with kids of all ages and abilities to get them moving, having fun, and learning how to move their bodies safely and confidently. Our work with these kids in the gym should translate to their increased success and joy in their activities outside the gym, be it sports or play.


Trainer should be CrossFit Level 1 Certified (equivalent certifications are acceptable) or become certified within a reasonable time frame of hire (as determined by owners). The Trainer is also required to be a part of the CrossFit 133 greater community and actively participate in workouts, events, discussions, provide support to members as well as provide some social media and marketing support as needed.  This is a part-time position (we expect 8 - 20 hours per week) that will report directly to the owners / head coach.


PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVES

  • Lead and build a strong fitness community of kids and teens.
  • Coach teen conditioning classes, kids classes, kids summer camps, kids events, teen events as well as teen pre-season conditioning programs.
  • Program workouts and class structure. 
  • Assist with customer service duties (i.e., greeting members, assisting parents with paperwork, etc.)
  • Be available between 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM, Four (4) weekdays per week; other hours may be needed for weekend, holiday or daytime events.


SECONDARY POSITON OBJECTIVES  

  • Lead adult classes, member clinics, FitStart classes, personal training, and specialty classes 
  • Assist members with start-up: leading introductory consultations, screenings, personal training, FitStart classes.
  • Basic social media updating as assigned.
  • Assist in marketing and sales. 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • A highly proficient understanding of the fundamentals of CrossFit principles and practices, especially as they are applied to children.
  • 1+ years of CrossFit under a CrossFit Coach as well as demonstrate proper form. 
  • Effective presentation and listening skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and facilitation skills.
  • Stress management skills.
  • Time management skills; on time. 
  • Ability to operate autonomously and in a directed team effort.
  • Attention to and respect for confidentiality.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • Level 1 CrossFit Certification (or agreement to obtain certification within agreed upon timeframe from hire or equivalent).
  • CrossFit Kids Certification or Level 2 CrossFit Certification is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Exposure & experience with kids fitness training like CrossFit Kids, Brand X a plus.
